Food in China carries much symbolism. Especially for the New Year, certain dishes are served for specific purposes. Chicken, for example, represents families coming together.
During Chinese New Year, families travel for the sole purpose of spending time together and enjoy chicken to reaffirm the family unit.
For Chinese New Year, Yu’s New Beijing invites you to savor our special Sweet Buttermilk- Batter Chicken. This symbolic dish includes chicken, rice, an egg roll, a cheese won-ton and green tea for $9.95 per person. Dine-in only.
Children under 10 years old, will receive a special red envelope—a big part of the New Year celebration. Kids wait all year for an opportunity to ask their elders,
and always receive something special in their envelopes! On January 31 and February 1-2, 2014, Yu’s New Beijing will have a special surprise for all our dine in guests under 10 years of age. Just ask for your red envelope!
Our special chicken dish is only available for dining in, and will be served on Friday, January 31st, Saturday, February 1st and Sunday, February 2nd.
